Connecting with TurboIRC

TurboIRC appears to be proprietary software. To protect your freedom, you should consider using an open source IRC client.

  1. Tap on Connect.

  2. Tap on New Server at the top-right corner.

  3. Tap on the wrench/screwdriver icon next to the new server, then tap Edit.

  4. Fill in the details:

    1. Name: the name of the network you want to connect to
    2. Address: your bouncer server address (it should look like example.ircnow.org)
    3. Port: 1337 (SSL does not appear to be supported)
    4. Nick: your bouncer username
    5. Opt. Password: username/network:password -- for example, if your bouncer username is john, the network you want to connect to is ircnow, and your password is abcde12345, then fill in john/ircnow:abcde12345
    6. Tap Done at the top-left corner.
  5. Tap on the server to connect.
  6. If you see a message saying ZNC is not yet connected, type /znc connect -- wait a few minutes to connect.
